In a new survey, the OPS is asking residents to register to be a part of the community consultation process being hosted by the OPS and the Ottawa Police Service Board. It will be held online.
Information from the consultations will help OPS determine its priorities before it asks the police services board for 2022 funding.
“We encourage everyone who lives in Ottawa to participate to let us know how to best invest our resources,” the survey reads.
The OPS is also asking residents to complete an online public survey that will be posted online Sept. 1 at ottawapolice.ca/2022Budget. It will be offered in eight languages: English, French, Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi, Somali and Spanish.
The OPS strategic partnerships and engagement unit is leading the consultation process in partnership with DiversiPro, a business management consultant hired to increase outreach to marginalized and racialized communities.
