Police seek help to identify suspect in McArthur Avenue robbery

Ottawa police are asking the public to help them identify a suspect in a knifepoint robbery reported on McArthur Avenue earlier this month.

It’s alleged a man armed with a knife went into the business near Lafontaine Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 5, threatened the cashier and took cash from the register, according to release issued by the Ottawa Police Service on Monday.

The employee was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early to mid 50s, 5-10 with an average build, white and grey hair and tattoos on both forearms. He wore a black T-shirt with a wolf on the front and a black mask.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service’s robbery unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116.
