Weather: Mixed skies and 25 C Tuesday with some cooler nights coming

August turns to September with some fine late-summer days and cooler nights on the way.

A mix of sun and cloud with a high of 25 C and humidex of 28 is on tap for Tuesday. Wind becomes west at 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning then becomes light early in the evening. The UV index is 6 or high.

Tuesday night is partly cloudy then clearing late in the evening with a low of 11 C.

September starts out sunny on Wednesday with a high of 24 C and humidex of 26. Wind becomes northwest at 20 km/h late in the morning and the UV index is again 6 or high.

Wednesday night is expected to be clear and 11 C.

Mixed but dry skies are in the forecast Thursday through Saturday. Thursday is expected to reach 21 C with a low of 11 C. Friday’s forecast high is 22 C with a low of 12 C and Saturday is 24 C with a low of 15 C.

There’s a 30 per cent chance of showers Sunday and a 60 per cent chance Sunday night with a forecast high of 24 C and low of 14 C.

“Normals” for this time of year are highs of 22 C and lows of 12 C.
