Weather: September starts out mainly sunny, 24 C as fine days continue

Mainly sunny skies with a comfortable high and a cool night ahead are on tap to start September.

A high of 24 C with a UV index of 6 or high are in the forecast for Wednesday from Environment and Climate Change Canada.

A few clouds with a low of 12 C are predicted for Wednesday night.

For Thursday, expect a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 21 C and low of 11 C.

Friday and Saturday look like a gorgeous start to the Labour Day weekend with forecast sunny skies and highs of 24 C and 25 C.

Friday night is expected to be clear and 12 C.

There’s a 30 per cent chance of showers Saturday night with a forecast low of 15 C.

As of Wednesday, there’s a forecast 60 per cent chance of showers Sunday through Monday night. Predicted highs are 23 C Sunday and 20 C Monday with lows of 15 C and 12 C.

“Normals” for this time of year are highs of 22 C and lows of 12 C.
